Project Hope

Project HOPE was founded in 1958 to improve the quality of health services in communities across the world. The organization operated the roving hospital ship SS HOPE from 1960 to 1974, and its land-based activities in 30 countries today promote maternal and child health, fight infectious diseases, educate health professionals, develop health systems and facilities and offer humanitarian assistance. The work of Project HOPE has endured for nearly 50 years through the donation of medical services, products, and other resources by like-minded individuals and organizations. To establish sustainable improvements in its host countries, and to help their health authorities provide the care other nations are equipped to provide, Project HOPE introduces the latest treatment methods and technology, medicines and supplies.
